Thanks Rich , was the IBM/SUN deal for a new JAVA OS ? IBM reacted to something , and its partnering with SUN for a JAVA OS came after AAPL's Mac OS JAVA deal with MSFT . MSFT supplies its JAVA extensions which AAPL applies to the MacOS . IBM has a similar NT deal which IBM alone adds the connectivity code . IBM's non-move (so far) to Merced is interesting , particularly if AAPL brings Rhapsody with NT on (RISC) PowerPCs SOON . Maybe WWDC week provide clues . Regards, Jim K.
