Watch List for May 8, 1998 (window closed while I was working) It was a rough day even the good uptrending stocks like ERTS, EXPD began losing steam. JBL, AOL,WAXS,SEBL, were winners. VSH from my watch list on the 4th reported good earnings and was up. I will be looking at SKS, WCOM, which I have brought over from other watch lists I posted in the beginning of this week. I've played this every earnings season in the past year. Showed up nice again today. A real "MarketGem". 10> COL - COLUMBIA HCA HLTHCRE CORP COM .HEA 1-Dy = 100.3 ( 84) VL/30= 75.0 ( 76) 10MA = 99.9 ( 38) healtcare stocks were good last few days. UNH reported but will already on a roll so it didn't gain much. This one could do better. 11> SEBL - SIEBEL SYSTEMS INC COM .DCS 1-Dy = 101.0 ( 89) VL/30= 75.1 ( 76) 10MA = 92.0 ( 2) 12> MLHR - MILLER HERMAN INC COM .OFU 1-Dy = 97.7 ( 9) VL/30= 109.2 ( 85) 10MA = 98.4 ( 17) Started out real nice but lost ground. Chart has been dismal but I'm expecting a reversal. MLHR is a "value" company with 13% earnings going forward. 13> ADVH - ADVANCED HEALTH CORP COM 1-Dy = 98.4 ( 14) VL/30= 41.6 ( 63) 10MA = 106. ( 95) I wanted this one today but did not want to hold overnight. I'm still expecting good news out of ADVH. 14> GNCI - GENERAL NUTRITION COS INC COM .RSP 1-Dy = 97.1 ( 7) VL/30= 99.2 ( 83) 10MA = 98.1 ( 15) This is one of my favorites. Together with OATS and WFMI. Take your pick.. OATS was good today as well. 15> WFMI - WHOLE FOODS MARKET INC COM .RFS 1-Dy = 98.7 ( 18) VL/30= 45.6 ( 65) 10MA = 96.8 ( 9) Very nice company. Reports on May 11. If the trend continues up I will enter it.
