>>3Com exist to serve it's customers and owners. Are you an owner? Do you feel served today?<<
Not by COMS. Sure, I wish COMS would have made an announcement to the public before making it to the analysts. So no, I don't think it's fair. It's standard operating procedure for COMS. Look how they guided the public on their last earnings report. I just expect that's their method, I don't like it, but that's one of their faults - not enough for me to not want to own them.
But I DON'T expect to be served by DLJ or an other brokerage company or analyst. There's no tie between us. I try not to place to much trust on them....

What I am, is disappointed because I want modems to start selling, period. The company ought to be letting us know how it's dealing with that problem. How is it busting it's chops to sell modems to get back to normal. I'm disappointed that I don't see an x2 BILLBOARD on every other street corner. Yet the MSFT name is all over the place. Heck, it seems that the PalmPilot gets 10 times better coverage than the x2. That's what I'd like to ask Eric B. if he was right here! That's were I feel that the company is not 'serving me'!
Also, even if the company announced just before market open, heck, the price would have open at least $1 to $1 1/2 down. I'm not going to get caught in a panic sell... So, I don't know if this is why COMS deals with its guidance in this way. Sure, I'd like to know the answer to that question from Eric B. But mostly, I want him to get on the x2 STICK PRONTO!! - and let us know whether it's selling or what!...
