Gee whiz Tom, I've just been sayin that if the Fed wanted to raise interest rates they shouldn't have lightened up on how much product they're selling at the auctions. With funding needs way down, those wanting to own a part of the treasury market will be chasing a smaller float... much like IBM and BMY buying back shares.

One problem right now is that we're all TA literate. I'll be tarred and feathered if that S&P chart doesn't look like easy pickings to the downside. If it does start to roll over the programs will start to kick in retracement values and quickly drive the market to target ranges. Fundamental reasons will follow explaining what happened but its liquidity and computer triggers, not norms, that are in charge.
