I have a brother whose son has been successful trading bonds in London and Chicago. Jack, my brother, just staked his son-in-law to trade in Chicago. I surprised Jack, I think, by telling him I thought the kid should get hammered for a while. It's one thing to start off bulletproof and think the market has to do what you predict it should do. It's quite another to start off bullet-ridden and realize that the market is going to do what it damn well pleases, is it not?
