CINCINNATI, May 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Hasbro, Inc. (Amex: HAS), the leader in
the manufacture and marketing of sports-related children's toys and
collectibles, today announced that its exclusive alliance with Action
Performance Companies, Inc., has been substantially strengthened as a result
of the toymaker's new NASCAR-related product and licensing opportunities.
Hasbro said that its recently announced plans to produce new
NASCAR-licensed collectible die-cast cars, radio-controlled cars, games and
puzzles were the result of its business alliance with Action Performance.
"Our recent announcement with regard to extensive NASCAR product licensing
agreements for new products is evidence that our alliance with Action
Performance has been further strengthened," said Steve McCamley, Hasbro vice
president of marketing for vehicles. "Action remains vital to our strategy of
creating and marketing the finest NASCAR-licensed products for the mass retail

Under the exclusive alliance, in 1996 Hasbro and Action Performance agreed
jointly to develop licensed motorsports-related Winner's Circle(TM) brand
die-cast vehicles and other consumer items, manufactured and marketed by
Hasbro for the mass retail market. The first jointly developed products
reached retail stores in 1997 and have been very well received by retailers
and consumers.
