Donald, there is nothing wrong with mythology!!! It is the way that cultures make sense out of the universe. Since there is nothing concrete about Jesus or God except that you feel FAITH in your heart, of course Christianity is a belief system and part of the richness of mythology throughout human history. No one really knows where we go after we die, or whether the soul lives on, or whether there is indeed anyone at all up there watching over us. For some of us, however, these beliefs are comforting and make us feel really peaceful.
As I have said before, you can prove almost anything from one Bible passage or another, to the extent that slinging them back and forth seems like a sad exercise. There are also many different versions of the Bible, and some Christian groups believe in a literal interpretation, and many others see stories like the creation and the resurrection as fables, and still have strong beliefs in God and Jesus.
