I'm a loyal E*TRADE customer for ~2 years and currently holding some EGRP stocks. I also have a SURETRADE account (mainly because of the attractive $7.95 commission), and in my opinion, E*TRADE is better by far.

Due to my active trading (for example, ~$5,000 in commission for the last 3 months of 1996), I've seen quite a few E*TRADE problems, but none is worth mentioning. I'm happy many of you left -- E*TRADE probably saved some bucks in the customer service department. :-) However, many many more of us stayed.

Good luck with your investment, but my instinct says buy some more EGRP stocks now before the new E*TRADE look is official and before more E*TRADE customers find out about the free realtime quotes from E*TRADE. I understand free realtime quotes are widely available, so it's probably not a big deal. However, E*TRADE realtime quotes are available only to those who trade 30+ times each quarter, and this might just cause a lot of people to trade much more often than before...
