Anyone have the recent Dell catalog?

I was just informed that they are now offering a DVD option on their notebooks for $299 that includes the DVD decoder hardware?

Can anyone confirm? It doesn't show up at their web site.

I haven't seen any announcements by Dell re:laptop DVD.

David,

I got a consumer catalog in the mail yesterday. On page 18, if offers a 2x DVD-ROM drive and decoder card for $299. The "MPEG-2 DVD Decoder Card" goes in the PCMCIA slot. It features Dolby AC3 Audio playback and is backwards compatible with CDS OR CDR discs. Also has video out to television or external monitor.

Pretty slick!!!
