- Drilling Begins On Mozambique Properties
Trillion Resources Ltd. (Trillion), as operator, and Greenhope Resources Inc. (Greenhope) are
pleased to announce that a nine hole diamond drilling program has commenced on the Braganca-
Chimeze and Chadzuca-Zambuzi properties, located near Manica, Mozambique. The properties
are situated along the northeastern end of the Odzi-Mutare greenstone belt, which contains several
large past gold producers. Gold in the belt was primarily mined from quartz veins which were
hosted in mafic schists, quartz diorite or banded iron formation. The drilling follows the positive
results of a year long exploration program.
BRAGANCA-CHIMEZE PROGRAM The Braganca-Chimeze property contains several old
workings, most notably the Braganca, Richmond and Dias Pereira mines, A soil geochemistry
survey (3,000 samples) has confirmed that anomalous gold zones envelope many of these sites.
The most significant anomalies were found to correspond with a 500 by 500 m area covering and
extending west of the Richmond mine, and a 2.5 km long banded iron formation stretching
between the Dias Pereira and Marianas mines. Four of the drill holes will test the anomalies in the
Richmond mine area.
One of the drill holes will test the depth extension of the vein at the Braganca mine. The gold is
contained within a 300m long, 1.2 m wide NNW trending quartz vein which is hosted in a quartz
diorite. Grades typically exceed 20 grams of gold per tonne (gpt) over narrow widths.
CHADZUCA-ZAMBUZI PROGRAM The Chadzuca-Zambuzi property covers a felsic volcanic
sequence south of and adjacent to the Monarch Mine, the only presently producing gold mine in
Mozambique. A rotary percussion borehole drilled on the property during an alluvial exploration
program conducted by a previous owner, intersected 17.5 gpt over 3m within bedrock felsic
agglomerates. Four drill holes will test that discovery after the completion of the
Braganca-Chimeze program.
