<Chrysler-Daimler-Benz Deal. TAVA opened an office in Birmingham to service auto industry Y2K problems. The Mercedes factory is just up the road. Daimler also owns Freightways and has truck building factories all over the area (Alabama, Carolinas). Now Daimler owns Chrysler. I'm just connecting dots here ...> Karl ... Very good job of connecting dots:-) Much more than these 2 though. The office was opened specifically for Big 3 AND their suppliers. Maybe someone from auto industry can fill us in ... but when I was in NYC and mentioned to Kraft VP about TAVA's new Birmingham office ... he said that Birmingham's the automotive hotbed for "???" ... Ooooh I can't remember what automotive thing he said specifically. When I heard "smart move" and "hot bed" ... I didn't pay attention to much else. I'm just a girl. Don't know or care about car parts. As long as a car works, the only thing I'm interested in is girl things like pretty lines, leather upholstery, color, etc. Cheryl
