Grayhairs, I do not mean to lecture you and apologize if it sounded as such. I believe that these threads are referred to as "discussion groups" and are meant to exchange information, ideas and, hopefully, some facts.
It is a fact, undisputable, that until you have completed and tested a well, you do not know conclusively what you have for sustainable production rates and/or reserves. If you hit a tight reservoir with vertical fractures, you can spew alot of gas quickly and then drop BIG TIME in production rates. This can be the case of a completed well. Similarly, a well which waters out after a period of time of production. Or, it could be a 50 mmscfd "boomer"!
I do not mean to imply that an "investment" in TKE or DAL will not make you money. It very well may. However, it is still a "speculative investment". The odds are not 50/50. They are less than that on an exploration play. Now an investment in, say, Royal Bank is what I would call an "investment"... real company, real growth, real earnings, real product or service.
I am a gambler at heart and do have some "speculative" investments. But, I recognize them for what they are... speculative. I believe in some of your proverbs, but I feel that it is important to also be as informed as possible.
I am trying to supply some facts and answer technical questions so that we can make informed decisions. Knowledge and money are power... you need both. Unfortunately, none of us on this thread have seen the Strachan logs, tests or well information.
Again, I apologize if I have offended you with my comments. However, I still stand by them. Good luck with your investment.
