No. Puts and calls do not cancel each other if a high volatile hits. Quite the contrary you make so much on one that the loss on the other don't mattur. Actually if you play it right it could be a 3 way win. The bounce on Dome would not be so severe that you have to worry. BUT the puts should be exercised with caution and speed.
