Chris and Craig: Wait a minute. What happened to competition? Is it okay for MSFT to use it's lock on the OS to get rid of competition? No. Okay for MSFT to choose who lives and dies? Don't think so. I must say that it was pretty silly last night listening to Gates talk about the collapse of the computer industry, inroads by foreign competition, and general mayhem caused by not attaching IE to Windows. Who believes that shit? Certianally not the corporate heads sitting behind him. They HAD to be there. If MSFT wasn't intent on monopoly, of taking over whatever sector of the industry it wanted, they would not be fighting this IE issue. Right? If they were not intent on monopoly, there would be no beef. The DOJ sees a problem coming as do many people in Silican Valley. DOJ going to deal with it now while they are in power and before MSFT strangles everything. And if MSFT products were better designed, were not suffering from Olephantisus (25 million lines of code in win98 I'm told), and not so full of bugs I might be more sympathetic with MSFT. But the truth of the matter is that many of the products are terrible. And they are out to eliminate choice.
