Bloomberg News
May 7, 1998, 5:05 a.m. PT

Princeton, New Jersey, May 7 (Bloomberg) -- America Online Inc. (AOL US)
was reiterated ''buy'' by analyst Marc Usem at Salomon Smith Barney.
The 12-month target price is $120.00 per share.

''It was a great quarter. Subscriber and e-commerce growth
was there,'' said CIBC Oppenheimer analyst Henry Blodget, who has
''strong buy'' rating on the stock.

As a result of the company's operating results, Merrill Lynch revised its earnings estimates upward today for fiscal year 1998 and 1999. The revised
fiscal 1998 earnings estimate now stands at $147.8 million, or 57 cents a share, and 1999 earnings now are estimated to be $237.8 million, or 90 cents
per share. The firm also increased its price objective to $120 per share.

BT Alex. Brown also upped its 12-month to 18-month price target of $122, and reiterated its "strong buy" rating.

''This is a company that is dead on,'' said Hambrecht &
Quist analyst Paul Noglows, who rates the stock ''buy.'' AOL
''will continue to grow significantly.''

(Robbie Stevens) The analyst, who maintains a strong buy rating on the stock, pounded the table for emphasis after the conference call with AOL officials. He said he planned to boost his estimates for the company's fourth quarter, which will end in June, by "a few pennies."

"It is not too late to buy this stock," Benjamin said. "Earnings and price targets can still go up. There is a big prize for first place on the Web and AOL is showing how big that prize can be."
