Good epistle on MSFT who sold DOS to IBM without owning it

From that humble beginning in a Seattle lawyer's office (Bill Gates' Dad's law firm) MSFT learned you don't have to own code to sell it .

Of course IBM set this standard 1st .

It works this way - you steal the code , defend the claim in court and by trial time your opponent is history .

To IBM's credit , this practice was not condoned by IBM's executives ,whereas it comes from the top at MSFT .

With Sen. Orin Hatch asking questions it may not work this time for MSFT .

Regards,
Jim K.
