In speaking with GZ yesterday he reaffirmed that the "demo" site as we now see it is only a fraction of the actual site.
Furthermere he indicated that the 15th, "by the 15th" would be absolute. I personally would not be upset if it was necessary to stretch it further if, IF a problaem arose. As I have said b4 I would rather satisfy clients than shareholders at this very sensitive point.
With that said, I was wondering what would happen to those that either short the stock at the MM level and or daytrading level, we wake up on Monday, which is probably a great day to start more than a workweek, and find out that the launch has in fact already begun at midnight. Along with a major advertising blitz on AOL, MSFT, Yahoo and the other attendant media.
The announcement of the site being "LIVE" would beat the "by then" date by what... only a couple of days? Technically, I am of the mind that the site is ready. Boy, if I was a MM I would be trying to get as many "cheap" shares as possible. Today, Monday, Tuesday, oh wait, if the site opens Monday, IF, and the spot on CNBC is Tuesday am because of the write up in Mondays WSJ, cheap share won't be around for awhile.
Just a little daydreaming,
