More handsets. In Brazil. US$150 million for production plant. Supply is for Brazil and the Mercosur trade block. Qualcomm executives believe some of the private operators will adopt CDMA. Of those competing for cellular services tenders, four companies chose CDMA.

Dont know where, don't know when, but marketing impetus increases constantly. And the share price jumped up on big volume. Seems to be all at a critical mass now. The market test is really going to be underway soon. And the billions behind CDMA is going to have to earn its keep. But it seems to be in a position to do just that. GSM is doing okay, but not lighting up the market. B-CDMA is a distant dream still. Analog is marking time though still growing rapidly. IS95 is positioned to sweep like a tidal wave across the globe.
