Incident - Quotes - 5/6/98 I called tech support in the morning because Street Smart quotes on AOL were erratic. Sometimes the complete quote appeared, other times just the last trade, bid and ask. No high, low or volume. Techie said there was a hold on AOL trading because earnings were due out after the close. I tried to explain that the previous temporary trading halt was due to a downgrade before the open by Prudential... the earnings due after close had nothing to do with the erratic quotes. Later that day quotes on AOL options were incorrect... volumes were way off. Once in a while the correct volume would appear, then back to a much lower quantity. Tech support said they were using a new quote vendor. Quotes pretty basic to a broker... and if Schwab has trouble here?
