Spreads are not determined by MMs in the spoo pits.

It's open outcry. On globex the spreads are wider, but during RTH buyers are just matched with sellers.

Let's say I have an order in to sell out my long position at 1114 even, but the market runs through that quickly. Then I may get 1114.30, whatever.

Ditto with a buy, I may get filled at 1114.30

I pretty much stick with market orders, spreads are pretty close. Overlapping at times, as someone in one part of the pit may be bidding higher than the ask in another part.

Sold 4; not so hot. 1114.20

4 left.
