[Price road map for Pentium II ] Today i read an article at CMP about the price road map of Intel's PII ( techweb.com , 'Help Is On Its Way For Intel's "Stepchild" Processor' ) . How complicated. Though I read the article a couple of times its still not clear for me how the prices will change. May be someone else can add or correct the numbers. Here's what i've found out (all prices are OEM prices): type price reduction comment 7. June 233 out of market 266 190$ 19.2% new standard processor 26. July 266 out 300 ? 26% (?) new standard 450 740$ new high end 'pre holiday' 333 ~200 33.6 % 350 ~300 23% 10. Oct. 400 410$ 26.9% 450 550$ 25.6%
