Jobs screwed up. Apple screwed up and lost. SUN lost. They just plain lost.

The other day John Sculley said that he felt Gates was a "tough but fair" competitor, and that this politcal action against them was absurd (paraphrasing here). Now, why would the former chairman of the biggest "victim" of MS thinks this?

Because it would be un-PC for him to say: "my successors at Apple screwed up".

Last but not least: if Microsoft does not derive an unfair competitive advantage from their de-facto desktop OS monopoly, a breakup of the company should not hurt, and may even enhance, the shareholders value
(cf. T and LU).
