Duke you answered your own question... they are sometimes unavailable and slow.... Webbroker is the pokiest slowest software Ive ever had to navigate... A BIG blunder is that they will not let you place limit orders that are more than 20% away from YESTERDAYS CLOSE!!! So, if a stock jumps more than 20% from yesterdays last trade, by the time you place your order, you re frozen out unless you want to chance a market order.... Then arbitrarily, some orders are "pending" till reviewed by a human... sure... that makes getting into any sort of quick play impossible.. Now, surely, none of this matters if you are not doing momentum plays, but I want my trades placed reliably and quickly. All online brokers allow you to talk with a broker at online prices if the software is down.. I am moving to Etrade, and putting some $$ in Webstreet so I can use their Mac based Level II MG
