From the shareholders' meeting:
PC-DVD decode is a specialty app for hardware. Looking forward, AB sees software decode becoming prominent as processor speeds improve. He made hardware DVD decode sound almost like a transitional product - well that's my impression anyway.
The big hopes are on the DVx chip and on a new video format expressly for China - the CVD. Look for that in a year or two.

So, here's my Q. I don't give a rat's butt about encoding. I just wanna view digital video from a TV or a disk player. So far, C-Dog products are not dominant in DVD players or USA-available STBs. We've lost the element of "being there fustest with the mostest".
Aside from Divicom, which stands a decent chance of becoming the industry standard in the broadcast end, what does this company have to offer a disgruntled shareholder that some competitor can't undercut?
