1998/1999 should see the benefits of all that R&D spending in 1996/1997.

I hear ya...and precisely because we can't pinpoint when the benefits will be reflected in a higher stock price, I continue to add to the position--picked up a few more at 24 1/2 today.

In a perfect world, all that R&D would be evenly spread over the time horizon (accompanied by designs wins all along the way) with in-demand products coming out the other end of the pipeline with equal predictability. Of course, as G.P. pointed out, that'd be no fun at all 'cause we'd all be multi-millionaires with no reason in the world to follow LSI or this thread :-((
