Dragonfly, The following post describes the way Rambus or Advanced RISC Machines could become a gorilla.
See www2.techstocks.com . On the second page it says "you're going to see a few dominant suppliers of collections of intellectual property, which will make it possible for companies to come to them and buy a whole portfolio. That's the ultimate endgame."
If it happens, the dominant company will control the architecture of chips, just like MSFT does for operating systems or CSCO for routers.
