David, I think it is ok to use * in words to mask the profanity. But, the only issue I can see is it could degrade into a Yahoo like free for all where they are into some serious namecalling. Here, at least, nobody is anonymous and that alone has a controlling effect. On balance I prefer the polite style normally used, however. IDTI?--shall I hold until the next semiconductor general rebound? If it goes much lower or never soars I to might start using terms like fi*le stcks, or dg darit, or oh p**h. JB
