Re -- Cable and DSL.. Currently both have their advantages and disadvantages. Cable is broadband with " limited" upstream capability. Both Cable and DSL have infrastructure issues, but these will be resolved a year or 2 from now. There are no "technical" issues that prevent the use of one or the other. Eventually (more than 2 years), IMO both will co exist, each serving a distinct application (pay per view movies, games, text etc..) and mode of use (couch potato, highly interactive) framework.
