Let me try an attempt at being balanced --- which is what i've been claiming others haven't been...when maybe I needed to be. 1. Last may Ticket to ride was suppose to be THE answer. I've got one. But the OEMs are marketing 3d, and or gamer cards. PC computing Mag. still feels that TTR has great 2d AND 3d, but thay were too late to the market. Silver Hammer probably has AGAIN the best 2d and much better 3d.....well where is it ? 8 million in revs on the TTR and gx2 is a joke. Hey, maybe MICRON, Nec, and the few others were holding back because of 9's visible problems. Here is my 64 million $ ? Does SGI lend 9 the solid footing that is needed for older and NEWER OEM's to be willing to vendor with them in a serious fashion? IBM---will they do more business with 9? To anyone who thinks that these video cards can be sold at comp usa like rakes in October.....I don't buy it. OEM's and some selective VAR deals make the most sense. IMHO. I'll say it again: HASBRO injected money into Radica Games, slowly but surely it WORKED, bigtime. SGI is no Hasbro, but has the blood finally stopped anyways? Will revenues get back above 55-65 mm? The expenses are working down. The most important question remains : Does Frank M. still have lunch with an old pal come June at "meeting time"? Hey Eric, the price of optimism is going up...sadly the price of video cards isn,t. We need SGI and 9 to build these widgets on the cheap. Oh yeah, what happens with LSI Logic now? If anyone has ideas don't be shy. Peace Out
