Don HAHA, what a loaded question!!!!!
Since you asked......
I would say this........ God's feelings are not as fragile as we all seem to think they are. I am sure that god sees peoples intentions, understands their situations, and is able to rise above petty squabbles and differences. We dont need to take offense in the name of god. Nor do I think god gives a hoot if you call yourself messianic or anything else. I wuld imagine he would be more concerned with intentions and deeds than words or rituals. I also dont imagine god to be so petty that he cares what you call him. Call him by any name, so long as you do his work with love and goodness in your heart. It is my opinion that those types of actions are far more important than what you call him, yourself, or what language and form you pray in. I am sure that someone can dig up some bible verse to prove me wrong. That is fine. What I believe feels right to me in my heart, and I am prepared to stand before god and explain why I feel this way. I think we all need to be more tolerant with one another, myself included.
Have a great evening, mark |
