Dell won't accept Unisys service organization as is. Dell will set high standards and will monitor Unisys performance very closely. Dell didn't get where they are without understanding how to manage service partners. They have done so very successfully in the past. In fact, I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of the people working for DEC who used to support Dell on the DEC service contract don't end up working for Unisys or Wang. I understand DEC has lost a few big service contracts recently and wouldn't be surprised if some of the DEC layoffs weren't in that area. Of course the best people will leave before the layoffs. It always seems to work out that way.
