If the cartel should ever break down DeBeers will undercut everyone and we would all end up losers...You have to understand debeers point ..they are the ones advertising Many tens of millions every year and everyone else is getting the benefit.l..so anyone breaking away would be cutting his own throat and i think the other producers are well aware of this therefore it wont happen that is not to say that some do come on the market other than thru debeers...but if it should ever become an avalanche..debeers will strike...Also realize that debeers buys billions every year and only allows a certain amount into the market...the producers get paid but debeers ends up with billions in dead capital....
