Are you familiar with Chateau Gilette ? This sauternes is said to put a high pressure on Yquem. The bottles are sold to the public after some twenty years of aging, and the creme de tetes (first pressure wine) are marvelous. I remember buying three bottles of creme de tete 1953 (my birthday) to drink at my 30, 40 and 50 birthday. The third one unfortunately was stolen at my countryside house !

As another derivative to expensive Yquem, I love Rieussec.
