Michael, BBs are less regulated, but they are regulated. No amount of due diligence will prevent a good investor from losing money if fraud is committed. Some people invested in SEXI made the mistake of being overinvested, or not using stop loss concepts. But given "the rules of conduct" in all U.S. stock markets, nothing can stop fraud. The only recourse it just what is happening now - the SEC steps in and tries to recover money for defrauded investors.

The self-recrimination of SEXI investors is unjustified. It is clear that companies that were the subject of releases that were "less than honest" did not come forward and publically demand retraction. Nor did most of them retract them when receiving phone calls from SEXI investors that were doing their due diligence. The people here on this thread did more than just about any investment group I've ever seen. But the bottom line is that the only thing that keeps the system working is people that run companies have to be afraid of breaking the law. Huttoe obviously does not fall into that category.
