Vitas; I've never went to any presentations or seminars on stocks,
and I've only read few books on them. Most of what little I know
has come from SI ..in it's own way it is I guess a seminar, an
interactive one at that.
I drew on my experience at the race track , and see the market a lot
similar to para-mutual wagering. Some of it makes sense but
much of it is insane. I think people tend to over analyze it, and
come up with the answers they want to see.
---------------------
I consider my self more a strategist than any type of analyst TA
or FA. I do look for trends and hold to the "the trend is you
friend" idea. I look for odds.
-------------------------
Recently I had a good friend ask me some advise , and I told him
that when it comes to stocks I hate to give advise. He was new
to the stock market..I knew he was wanting to get in bad, so I
pointed him at the Fidelity Family and told him to stay with
funds for at least two years and to get an understanding of them
and how they work before jumping into the fire.
-------------------------
No one shoe fits all people..one person may do good with a style
of trading that will spell death to another. I think each person
has to find what talent they have that they can apply the best.
I wish I had got involved earlyer in life , as risk tolerance is
limited with age.
--------------------------
Jim
