˜LEVEL BEST GOLF SIGNS BRAD FAXON
August 27...Level Best Golf, Inc. (NASDAQ:OTCBB:LBGF) announced today that PGA Tour Player and Ryder Cup member Brad Faxon joins PGA Senior Tour player Jim Dent, recent Bank of Boston winner, as a member of the ˜company's advisory board. Faxon will endorse the company's newest training club, the "AngleIron," which will sell via infomercial nationwide starting in January 1997. Faxon, considered to have one of the best short games on the PGA Tour is currently ranked #1 in putting, according to Golf Week "PGA Tour Scoreboard," and is among this year's leading money winners.
"We are proud and pleased that one of the world's truly great golfers is joining our team," said Fred Solomon, LBG's president. "Brad's conviction that the AngleIron is a 'phenomenal' training club is one we share. It significantly improves the short game and teaches proper tempo and release in the full swing to help golfers add distance and eliminate slicing the ball. Brad has tried the AngleIron and knows that it does what we say it will do," said Mr. Solomon.
Level Best Golf's strategic marketing plan for 1997 focuses on infomercials for high-end products like the AngleIron and developing mid-range price-point products that will appeal to large sporting goods specialty retailers. The company also has a broad line-up of promotional products for mass market retailers. In addition, the company is targeting all products to the premium/incentive, specialty and pro golf shop, and catalog markets.
Based on current projections and the national rollout of the AngleIron infomercial, LBG management projects 1997 revenues in excess of $10 million, and earnings of at least .25 cents per share.
