Lee, I think that Korea is going to lead the way out of these dark times for the rim. They are doing the right things, Hyundai is now in a major drive to reduce debt and concentrate their businesses in areas of unique competence. Even according to their plan they will still end up with twice as much debt as equity on their balance sheet, but this is a far cry from the 5 to 6 ration they had until now. There is nothing wrong with European and US companies buying positions in the rim, after all, when those countries were growing like crazy they were buying everything in sight in the US (Symbios was acquired from AT&T by Hyundai, and the Rockfeller center was a class act of buying at the top and sell back to Zell and company at the bottom).
