I don't buy that argument.

There are many places in China, Malaysia and other countries where the digitally switched fiber-optic and PCS wireless communications systems are more sophisticated than what you'll find in many parts of the United States. The very fact that there were no previous communications infrastructures actually made it easier to implement cheaper and more tailored solutions for these areas.

While geography, language, and national borders are no longer an impediment to developing a technological infrastructure - a government's attitude towards improving the quality of life and economy for its citizens most certainly is.

Don't blame Apple... I suggest you speak to your elected representatives.
