Bob,

After looking closer at the numbers, I'm going to stand by my original notes. The 4/21 press release that I copied (on the prior post) bears out the numbers I have gathered from other sources. I haven't yet compared Edgar Online numbers to my software data, but the software data does match the press release numbers.

I think that you may be comparing Q4 to Q3 to Q2 in 1997, rather than Q4 97 to Q4 96 and so on. Clothing sales are cyclical, so you have to compare the same quarters in consecutive years, rather than a quarter over quarter comparison. I still think these guys look good, but not as good as ROST (at this point). I'm still awaiting a price dip before buying. Last dip was in early February (no reason known). 52 week high/low is 37 1/4 to 53 15/16, with Friday's close at 51 1/4, still too close to the high to suit me. PE is around 16. The $.20 per share quarterly dividend is tempting, as well.

Thanks for your earlier posts.
