My friends at Shell tell me the plant worked very well but the fire wiped out the oxygen plant. The economics of this plant were based on selling wax (much like the RNTK India plant). I am told the plant had positive cash flow but it was nothing to write home about. Shell is not sure they want to spend the millions of dollars necessary to replace the oxygen plant (the biggest ever built!!) because they were not making that much (enough) money to begin with. My conversation took place two weeks ago. JM
