Harold, thanks for taking the time to give an account of your experiences. Your problems remind me of my problems with deep discount, internet brokerages. Often I read about people who have this or that problem. The problems are often real, and almost always very annoying. However, despite these shortcomings, the overall value of the service has made deep discount, internet brokerages more and more popular each year.
That is what I see for internet sales, too. The technology can be irritating, especially when you are new to it, but overall, it is gaining more and more customer acceptance.
I believe as technology improves, the internet services will become more and more popular. In 5-10 years, it may be extremely easy to place orders. By then, CD will be well established in internet selling via its memberships, that CD should be able to profit very nicely because of the semi-good systems it has in place today.
I am quite sure that internet sales will be an important part of tomorrow's market, and CD has one of the biggest footholds in that market, now.
Again, thank for your input. As your experience demonstrates, internet commerce has a ways to go before being completely consumer friendly (especially to newbies).
