D'man

The first year drilling by DML looks to have averaged less than 100m per hole. Just checking out surficial HEM conductors. Usually one or two days setup, drilling, teardown and the like. Last years drilling was only slightly deeper, roughly in the 200m range. This would also equate to 2-5 days per setup. The time is not linear to depth as once the initial setup time is factored in, deeper drilling becomes slower as bits wear out, more rods are pulled each time etc.

These new rigs are not a dramatic advance in machinery. They are just bigger rigs (newer as well). Drill rigs have depth specs related to a certain rod size. The drilling will not change a great deal just these new rigs are bigger and drill deeper. Although less break-downs and slightly better drilling rates will speed things up somewhat.

I think there is a little PR simplification going on here. Do not expect to see any holes completed in one day. Perhaps you could send me a PM with the name of the DML dude and the "very knowledgeable" geologist you referred to last week in one of your posts.

BTW I will try to talk to the DML dudes.
