Here's Bill Fleckenstein on silver:

"Buffet owns silver and Sorose owns
a silver company; simply put, they
are bullish on silver. I don't think they
necessarily see a lot of inflation or a
change in interest rates. I think that silver
is a very good investment which has a great supply and demand
ratio. Buffet articulated some of those points at his annual
meeting, but the press didn't accurately capture his thoughts. I
thought the most impressive thing he discussed was the relative
inelasticities to silver from a supply and demand standpoint,
which is a way of arguing that prices can go a lot higher than you
might think. I agree with him on this point. Regarding their
oil-related investments, I think that those were probably
opportunistic purchases. I don't think they mean anything from a
macro standpoint. "
