I believe fuel cells will both compliment GTL and compete with GTL. RNTK has already begun to explore the hydrogen production of its process in a fuel cell. In competion, I think the really big application for fuel cells will be electrical power generation both by utility companies (ERC) and at individual residences (MKTY). Fuel cells for cars may remain very expensive but look promising for mass transit (Ballard). Fuel cells seem to work best with gaseous fuels such as hydrogen and natural gas and offer big improvements in efficiency and maintenance. Terry
