From Briefing.com Computer Networking Brief: No one is calling it "Descend Communications" any longer, as Ascend (ASND) rallied another 3 1/16 on Friday (7.3%) on news that DLJ upped its rating from market perform to buy and that Cowen & Co. raised its rating to from buy to strong buy... Latter firm also upped its FY99 estimate from $1.50 to $1.60... Cowen sees very strong momentum with products for new generation carrier networks... Both Cowen and DLJ set price targets at 55...
