Hi Patrick--hope you had a good weekend

Re the game plan for day-trading the futures, on Monday -- I will most likely only trade it from the long side given that I am long from a position trading stand-point. I will use that as the basic trend which will determines the direction for me, for day-trading.

It was an interesting experience on Friday -- though I came out well ahead, I must say that I felt less than convinced that it was any particular skill on my part in entering and exiting at the right point. I guess that I am too much of a systems trader to feel totally comfortable with my approach last Friday. There was an intuitive element to my trading -- something that I don't do when trading futures.

I guess that I need to get comfortable with that component -- just voicing some thoughts.

Re posting futures action and discussion on this thread--I have mixed feelings. On the one hand, I post on only two threads for the most part and I'd prefer to keep it that way---but on the other hand, I suspect that it is of little interest to many who don't trade the futures and it must be a pain for others to go through 200 posts a day.

If you feel so inclined we can move the discussion to the futures category on SI.

There is a, now dormant, thread that I started some time ago that was intended to deal with futures trading in general.

Alternatively, there is a thread that deals with S&P trading specifically that seems to have sporadic activity.

Please let me know your thoughts.
