Phil,

I tested my computer last year and found that it wasn't Y2K compliant either; however, we are for the most part lucky. They have files out which correct PCs dates upon boot-up. You would just add a line into your autoexec.bat file of where the update file is located on your computer.

It happens to be the mainframes where the trouble really lies for Y2K

My operating system was never upgraded and runs on Windows for Workgroups (3.11).

By the way, I was watching CSPAN today and it reaired a 25 year celebration for the CBOE(4/24/98). Several prominent men from the stock exchanges (COO of NYSE), banks, brokerage houses and Mr. Scholes were interviewed in an open forum. The MC asked these men which perceived problem kept them awake at night. The answers gravitated toward Y2K, availability of electricity to run our society after Y2K, and the possibility that the NYSE may not be able to supply the liquidity and fluidity of capital during this time period. Especially since our trading partners are putting Y2K on the backburner.
