Phil, I'm no expert. I'm a lawyer with a cs degree. Mostly do patent litigation some trademark and sofware licensing. I get to work with inventors and other techies trying to protect their work. Am in a decent position to see what the "cuttign edge" is. I'm reluctant to download anything from the net except for an extremely reputable source. Don't know if it's a valid test, but it seems to me that the y2k problem is no problem at all if you think of it in advance. So I'd be really surprised if the issue weren't corrected/correctable on recently made pc's. The problem is that so much was built and created by people whoe weren't thinking y2k at the time. JMO.
