I do not deny that this will not be a crowded market or that people like Forte will be a non-issue. Hi Shane, Unravelling the negatives, you appear to be saying it won't be a crowded market, and Forte won't be a problem. I'm pretty sure from the context that you agree it will be a crowded market - although I couldn't swear to your position on Forte..... My point, such as it was, was not so much that Borland is betting the business on the new paradigm, but that they seem to be doing it with a blithe naivety that is either super-arrogant or dangerously under-informed. The road to hell, they tell me, is paved with good intentions..... Underneath that is the awareness that each of the areas that Borland is moving into - enterprise development & deployment, direct sales, own professional services - is a brand new area to their management. Blind faith is sometimes mistaken for great courage. Let's hope we find out quickly which one is in play here. david
