Dear Cat,

Make fun? Moi? Nevare, mon cheri!!!!

However, I'm afraid that my gain in DELL is a good bit more than 66%, so I must respectfully decline the trade.

1. I had my current DELL shares put to me in January, at a price of $88 ==> $100 strike - $12 premium. (In fact I may have sold Hank some of the puts he was buying.)

Even disregarding the premiums I got for writing covered calls, my cost on my most recent purchase of shares (purchased 20 Jan 98) is $44. And my (paper) gain is only $47, or > 105%.

My IRA holdings (LEAPs and calls) are also doing nicely on a percentage basis.

SinceI believe the potential for further appreciation to be greater for DELL, I see no point at this time in liquidating and converting to Japanese Gold! <g>

3.
